Learning Squared Liberia formerly IDA-Liberia is embarking on 15 day back to school book ride in Liberia , West Africa. The book ride will take place between September 2 -20, 2019, visiting schools in Montserrado, Margibi, Bassa, Bomi and Cape Mount Counties. The book ride is an initiative of Learning Squared Liberia that is aimed at providing free school supplies ,including notebooks, pens, pencils and other learning materials to students benefiting from our direct scholarship program and other underserved rural students in the community.

During the book ride, students will receive free school supplies, interact with our team and volunteers to seek information about our 2019-2020 scholarship program. Your support and sponsorship for this year’s back to school book ride is needed and will significantly add value to work with children in Liberia. We envision every child having the best learning opportunities possible, beginning with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.


The Back to School Book Ride will provide underserved students with the supplies they need to succeed this school year. Our goal is to give away school supplies to over 3000, 1- 6 grade students in five counties we are currently implementing our support to rural education initiative in Liberia. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to working with you to help students in rural communities in Liberia start the year off right!

Learning Squared Liberia, formerly IDA-Liberia, received a donation of 300 backpacks for 2019-2020 school year. The donation was made possible by an anonymous donor from the United States. The materials will form a significant part of our support to education in Liberia. Receiving the donations on behalf of Learning Squared Liberia, Executive Director Anthony S. Kolaco expressed profound gratitude to the donor, and stressed the significance of the donation to the advancement of Learning Squared’s mission in Liberia.

Mr. Kolaco pledged Learning Squared’s commitment to reaching out to as many deprived communities, women and children in Liberia. Making a brief remark to Learning Squared Liberia Country Office team via Skype. Mr. Kolaco noted the significance of the contributions and untiring efforts of all staff for leading an institution that is committed and dedicated to increasing access to education, improving the quality of education and strengthening communities in Liberia, Africa and the world at large. Mr. Kolaco reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to making sure that every child in rural Liberia gets an opportunity to learn. This is a huge and remarkable sacrifice Learning Squared is willing undertake in our society.


He expressed deep appreciations to supporters, donors and other well-wishers of the initiatives driven by Learning Squared. “Your donations and contributions are surely making life worth living in rural Liberia. Women, children and communities are impacted positively by your donations and contributions. Because of your support and donations, children have hope for a better tomorrow, and their hopes are alive again,” he said.
